Matt is our head BJJ coach teaching both Gi & No Gi.

Matt Began his Brazilian Jujitsu journey in 2015 under Grand Unions Professor Cesar Lima who is a black belt under the world-renowned Roger Gracie .Excelling in both GI and NOGI. Matt carved a path in his learning enjoying both attacking and defensive aspects of Jujitsu.

Becoming proficient in NOGI grappling Matt was given the opportunity to teach at the Rottingdean Headquarters. Developing not only his own game but his teaching style.

During the pandemic, decided he wanted to create something closer to home with long time training partner Andy Scriven. Co founding Grand Union Seaford.

Achieving his brown belt in 2022. His aim along with Andy is to create a BJJ family that grow together. Along with the newly added kids classes. Shaping adults and children alike to become more confident versions of themselves.

The Grand Union Seaford family, although new, have already won multiple medals across the country in competition. Winning with good core Jujitsu and submissions.
